Election day is Wednesday, October 24, 2018

I’m excited to announce the official launch of my campaign for re-election to the office of School Trustee in Ward 2 of the Winnipeg School Division. It is an honour to have the support of the community and my family, as I campaign to represent the needs of our children, schools, and community.

The challenges facing education in Manitoba are as diverse as the many students that attend Winnipeg School Division. I believe strongly that by focusing on the needs of our children we can deliver quality education that meets the ever changing needs in schools.

Student success is at the heart of my campaign and my work for Ward 2. From investing in early childhood education to prioritizing resources to math, science, and arts education. I’m dedicated to supporting all of our children success.

It’s no secret that barriers to education are limiting potential. I believe that in supporting the well-being of our children we improve learning. Expanding nutrition programs and community gardens will develop leadership while supporting growing potential.

Working families have difficulty ensuring their children have the right care, before, after school, and during lunch. I believe we can work to support families by working more closely with child care providers while delivering excellent lunch programs parents can depend on.

Our school division needs to be environmentally sustainable, to not only to protect the environment, but to also ensure we are using tax dollars sustainably. Investing in green capital infrastructure will ensure the WSD is here for another 100 years.

I look forward to continuing my work as the School Trustee for Ward 2, and this is only possible with your support. Please consider voting for me on October 24th.
